ETA Welcomes Max Behlke as Director of State Government Affairs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 30, 2020 – The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) today announced the hiring of Max Behlke as director of state government affairs. Behlke will assist ETA’s government affairs team in representing its payments and fintech members on issues before state legislators and regulators.
“We are thrilled to welcome Max to ETA,” said Scott Talbott, SVP of Government Affairs for ETA. “Max comes to us with strong experience working with state legislators and regulatory agencies and will be a tremendous asset to ETA’s robust advocacy efforts on the state level.”
ETA advocates before federal and state policymakers for policies that support ongoing innovation in financial services products, allowing consumers to engage in everyday transactions in a safe, secure way.
Behlke brings to ETA extensive experience on state policy issues having previously worked at the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) developing NCSL’s policy on state matters.
