Black Friday Payments Predictions

As shoppers gear up to catch Black Friday deals, TransUnion’s early-October 2016 survey of 1,083 Americans over age 18 asked how consumers plan to pay this holiday season. Among those surveyed, most plan to pay with both cash and credit; 74% of the whole anticipate that they will pay for “at least some” purchases with cash, with 70% also planning to use credit cards. More than 80% parents with kids under 18 years old plan to use credit cards for the majority of their purchases.
