Payments-as-a-service Tracker reports growth, highlights new solutions in mobile payments, finds eight of ten best providers are ETA members
6-26-2017
The June 2017 Payments-as-a-Service tracker by PYMNTS.com released today has found that payments-as-a-service (PaaS) products and services have contributed to a nearly 20 percent global increase in eCommerce value, driven largely by ETA member companies.
Through a point index derived from evaluations of seven factors like POS products, security, processing acceptance and software, PYMNTS evaluated more than 80 PaaS providers and identified the top ten best scoring firms. Among the top ten were eight ETA members, and members represented the top four highest scoring payments firms.
Cayan scored highest on the index with a score of 83, followed by FirstData, Paysafe and Verifone with scores of 78, 77 and 74 respectively. Other ETA members in the top ten were Ingenico, Global Payments, BluePay and Moneris Solutions.
The report also highlighted key trends in payments servicing like machine learning, mPOS for luxury car transactions, pay-at-the-table products for restaurants in the US market and other cashless FinTech innovations.
