These 10 Cities Had the Highest Fraudulent Chargeback Rates, Report Finds

Risk management firm and ETA member Chargebacks 911 has released a new report which highlights the ten American cities with the highest rates of fraudulent credit card chargebacks.

The report is the firm’s second such analysis. Fraudulent chargebacks have quadrupled in the most vulnerable cities in the five years since the first analysis was released in 2014, the report said.

According to the report, the top 10 offending cities in 2014 had an average chargeback level of 1.68 percent, where the top 10 cities in 2019 showed an average chargeback rate of 6.65 percent.
