Petrol Payments App Drives Convenience
7-29-2016
BP has launched a payments app, now available in Australia, which promises to add convenience and cut time while refueling vehicles. The new platform, BPMe, connects consumers’ BP Plus Card to their smartphone, allowing them to make payments, locate BP stations and store receipts on their mobile device. Initially, BPMe, is only being offered to a select group of Australian BP Plus Card customers, with the company planning to expand the service in the future.
In the company’s press release, BP Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brooke Miller said, “We recognize the importance of mobile and card-less payments to this customer base and we understand the need for faster transaction times and easier payment processes. Ultimately, we’re giving time back to our customers by delivering a faster way to refuel.”
