ETA Payment Sales and Strategy Committee Publishes CCPA White Paper
12-19-2019
The ETA Payment Sales and Strategy Committee has released a new white paper on the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
CCPA is set to take effect January 1, 2020, with enforcement beginning on July 1, 2020. Consumers have many new rights under this law, which has comprehensive information privacy requirements.
ETA member organizations, such as ISOs, MSPs and ISVs, will have many clients who will come under the requirements of this new law. Their clients will look to them to help navigate compliance here, so it will pay to be familiar with this because it is the new normal.
This white paper, authored by committee member and CrossCheck Inc. Director of Partner Acquisition Brandes Elitch, gives background and insights into the potential impacts CCPA might have on payments technology companies like ISOs, ISVs and Acquirers.
