ETA Announces New State Government Relations Hire
WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 14, 2021 – The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) today announced that Matt Tremblay has joined its team as Senior Manager of State Government Affairs, further strengthening ETA’s position as the premiere government relations advocacy organization for the digital transactions industry in Washington, D.C., state capitals, and Canada.
In his new role, Tremblay will help ETA influence and shape policy in states across the nation. He will represent ETA members before legislators, regulators, and other state government policymakers on policy issues related to the digital transactions industry.
An experienced government affairs specialist with a history of working on state legislative issues, Tremblay has a deep background in tackling state and local advocacy issues for major trade associations and nonprofits. Prior to joining ETA, Tremblay was Director of State Government Affairs for the Project Management Institute, where he created the organization’s first state government affairs division and lobbied in 32 states.
“It is my pleasure to welcome Matt to ETA’s award-winning Government Relations team,” said Scott Talbott, ETA’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. “As the adoption of digital payments solutions continues to accelerate, Matt will provide leadership and direct advocacy for an array of state issues facing our members.”
