ETA Announces Mobile and Technology Track for TRANSACT 14: Powered by ETA
Industry experts to connect and share success strategies at largest payments industry event of the year
February 12, 2014 – The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), the global trade association representing the payments technology world, announced today TRANSACT 14’s Mobile & Technology track, sponsored by PayPal, with keynote speaker Brad Brodigan, Vice President of Retail, North America, for PayPal. One of seven educational tracks offered at this year’s event, the Mobile and Technology track provides unparalleled access to business experts in the mobile and technology industries. New this year: ETA has eliminated all conference track tickets, so access to every educational program at TRANSACT 14 is included in conference registration at no extra charge. TRANSACT 14, the largest payments industry event in the world, will take place April 8 – 10, 2014 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and registration is open now at www.transact14.com.
“TRANSACT 14 is the only place where payments veterans and newcomers alike have access to seven distinct conference tracks, providing them with the insight to meet industry evolution and consumer demand,” said Jason Oxman, CEO of ETA. “Mobile transactions will represent 30% of all retail by 2018 so the importance of a dedicated Mobile and Technology educational track can’t be understated. The industry expertise provided will be an invaluable resource for companies that are interested in participating —or are already active—in this dynamic space.”
Industry leaders will bring attendees up to speed on new business models and discuss the latest developments in the mobile payments space – emerging technologies, mobile commerce, monetization, security, NFC, mobile banking – and how these will affect the roles of key industry players. The track will include a keynote address from Brad Brodigan, Vice President of Retail, North America, for PayPal. ETA board member Don Kingsborough said, “PayPal is a proud sponsor of TRANSACT 14. We are excited about our mobile payments ventures and are pleased to contribute to growing the knowledge of professionals interested in this innovative field.”
With a newly expanded education and conference schedule, speakers from the world’s top payments and technology companies, a 98% sold-out exhibit floor, and 4,000 attendees from 1,000 companies representing 24 countries, TRANSACT 14 is the world’s gathering place to make connections with the biggest players in payments. TRANSACT 14 includes an expanded selection of educational opportunities with 7 conference tracks, increased trade show floor hours, and unlimited industry networking opportunities. TRANSACT 14 will offer three full days of programming, culminating in the biggest networking party in payments, the TRANSACT Party at the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. These enhancements have been designed to showcase technical innovations in payments, provide ramp-up training for those new to payments, and provide a stage for networking and partnerships.
