Paymill Launches Mobile Kit for Payments Integration

Paymill has brought a simplified payments solution to iOS and Android with the launch of its mobile software development kit. The solution is designed to help developers leverage the more than 50 percent of Europeans with smartphones while also continuing to build traction for mobile commerce. Paymill CEO Mark Henkel says the Mobile SDK aims to ease in-app payments with a payment provider. He notes that app-store payment services offer frictionless integration, but come with very high transaction fees, to name just one drawback. “Today, ubiquitous modern smartphones allow for convenient access to e-commerce applications and, as a consequence, the market is steeply growing,” Henkel observes. “In the segment of traditional e-commerce, Paymill offers a product that meets modern mobile commerce requirements without the high fees of app-store related payment services.” He says mobile development kit enables e-commerce merchants to sell their goods through proprietary apps without losing conversion through redirections. Henkel notes that merchants also can offer multichannel shopping, which increases customer loyalty.
