ETA Supports #ChefsforAmerica with TRANSACT Connect Donation Page
5-13-2020
As part of its #ChefsForAmerica nationwide emergency food relief program, World Central Kitchen is committing to sourcing 1 million meals from local restaurants.
Restaurants are the nation’s second largest employer, sustaining 15.6 million American jobs with annual sales of $889 billion. Today, the industry is projecting job losses of between 5 and 7 million in the next three months as sales decline by an estimated $225 billion.
To show our support for the industry, ETA is encouraging TRANSACT Connect attendees to support the WCK initiative #ChefsforAmerica. By directly supporting restaurants and providing demand for the restaurant business, we can get meals to those who need them most while also uplifting an industry that needs all of our help to keep their doors open.
Jose Andres, the founder of World Central Kitchen and globally-renowned Chef and philanthropist, posted this special message for TRANSACT Connect attendees:
ETA is a proud to partner with World Central Kitchen in support of their efforts. CEO Jodie Kelley and her husband have committed to matching $5,000 in donations made by TRANSACT Connect attendees. Click here to donate to #ChefsforAmerica.
