ETA Statement on the OCC Chartering Non-Bank FinTech Companies

December 2, 2016 – The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced today that it will move forward with chartering non-bank fintech companies. The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) applauds the idea of a national fintech charter, and we look forward to working with the OCC as we continue to support our members in this rapidly growing sector of the payments industry.
