Record Number of Payments and Technology Executives Gather at the 2014 ETA Strategic Leadership Forum to Discuss the Next Generation of Payments
October 7, 2014 – The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), the global trade association representing the payments technology world, today kicked off this year’s annual Strategic Leadership Forum (SLF) at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. This year’s event, the largest in ETA history, has attracted more than 400 top executives from the payments and technology industries to share strategies and expertise on navigating the evolving payments landscape.
This year’s ETA SLF features a trifecta of keynote speakers: Tim Tynan, CEO of Bank of America Merchant Services , Diane Offereins, Executive Vice President, President – Discover Payment Services and a member of the Discover Financial Services Executive Committee, and Frank Bisignano, Chairman and CEO of First Data. In this marquee annual networking opportunity, leading industry innovators, executives at the nexus of technology, mobile and e-commerce, and unmatched panel speakers will share smart techniques and explore the next generation of innovative ideas.
“Now is a transformative time for payments – our industry is reinventing itself, and changing the way consumers and merchants see payments,” said Jason Oxman, ETA CEO. “ETA SLF is payments’ premier executive event where executives analyze where electronic payments are, and decide where payments technology should go.”
ETA is committed to delivering the tools payments technology companies and leaders need to be successful in this dynamic industry. In the past year, ETA has expanded its membership to include more than 500 of the world’s largest payments companies. New members include all four national wireless carriers, major technology companies, and the leading mobile wallet ventures and companies that are driving advances in payments technology. To serve its growing membership ETA has grown its two signature annual events, ETA SLF and TRANSACT, expanded its advocacy initiatives, produced even more educational resources, and added new staff.
