ETA Announces Nominees for 2014 Star Awards and the 2014 Distinguished Payments Professional

April 1, 2014 – The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), the global trade association representing the payments technology world, announced today the finalists for the prestigious annual Star Awards. The ETA Star Awards recognize contributions of individuals and companies to the payments industry, whether through innovation, business practices, or contributions to the association.  In addition, ETA has announced that Pamela Joseph, Vice Chairman, Payment Services, of U.S. Bancorp is being recognized as the 2014 Distinguished Payments Professional.  Award winners will be announced live on April 9 during the payments industry’s largest annual event, TRANSACT: Powered by ETA. TRANSACT 14 will take place April 8 – 10, 2014 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and online registration is open until April 2 at www.transact14.com.

The ETA Awards and Recognition Committee, a panel of industry executives, reviewed dozens of nominations, ultimately voting on a winner in each category. The award winners will be announced at the ETA President’s Dinner on Wednesday, April 9 at 7:30pm.

Finalists were named in the following categories: Business Partner of the Year, Committee of the Year, Committee Volunteer of the Year, Distinguished Payments Professional, ISO of the Year, ISO of the Year – Rising Star, the Distinguished Congressional Payments Leader, Member of the Year and Technology Innovation.
