ETA FinTech Event Series Launches in Boston
TRANSACT Tech Boston brings merchants, payments, and tech companies together in the Hub of technology innovation
Washington, D.C. – The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), the global trade association representing the payments technology industry, will unite Boston’s tech and payments community at MIT’s Media Lab for TRANSACT Tech Boston on September 13. TRANSACT Tech Boston brings investors, merchants, tech companies, and financial institutions together for a full day of fintech education and networking. Topics include taking advantage of the future of payments, the merchant’s take on the payments industry, how to invest in the financial space, and the current state of innovation and disruption. Event highlights include:
• Keynote Presentation by MIT’s Managing Director of Connection Science David Schrier, who will provide actionable insight into payments entrepreneurship, disruption, innovation and the financial services startup scene in Boston.
• CEO Roundtable: Seizing the Future of Payments with Avidia Bank CEO Mark O’Connell, Cayan CEO Henry Helgeson, and AliasWire CEO and Founder Hoss Mohsenzadeh discussing how to redefine and reengineer your core business in a time of disruption.
• The Merchant Perspective on Payments with merchants giving their perspective on EMV, tokenization, and security.
• Investing in the Payments Space including a group of veteran investors talking about what makes them write startups a check.
• Blockchain Payments Bake Off which gives startups a chance to showcase their blockchain product or service in front of potential investors and partners, moderated by MIT Media Lab’s very own Lecturer and Research Scientist Dazza Greenwood.
