ETA Celebrates Payments Innovation at the 2015 Strategic Leadership Forum
October 14, 2015 – Day two of ETA SLF is off to a great start! Yesterday’s networking on the green and insightful keynotes set the stage – and today we’re delving deeper into business with a packed agenda featuring the leaders who are driving innovation in our industry.
The morning kicked off with a fireside chat between ETA CEO Jason Oxman and Revel CEO Lisa Falzone. Lisa described her successes in creating and launching her award-winning iPad POS and offered her own insights into the opportunities that lie ahead for the payments ecosystem.
Then we heard from industry veterans Jared Drieling, Business Intelligence Manager at The Strawhecker Group, Shan Ethridge, Vice President and General Manager of the North America Financial Services Group at Verifone, Will Graylin, Global Co-GM for Samsung Pay and CEO of LoopPay and Nick Nayfack, Director of Mobile Product Management at Vantiv on the topic that’s on everyone’s mind – Mobile Payments: From Buzzword to Business.
Next The Modern Acquirers took the stage. Moderated by Kurt Strawhecker, Managing Partner & Co-Founder of The Strawhecker Group this panel featuring Mike Bishop, VP Business and Partner Development at Retail Pro International, LLC, Henry Helgeson, CEO, of Cayan, Steven Klebe, Head of Business Development for Google and Michael Krezwick, Director of Retail at Chase Field examined the evolution of the ISO/acquirer as it navigates disruptive technologies and shifting regulations.
Still ahead today we will hear from Ben Brown, Senior Consultant at First Annapolis Consulting moderating a conversation between

Following lunch, James Mendelsohn, CMO of Can Capital, will discuss Technology & Innovation in Alternative Finance, exploring how the alternative financing industry and processors can work together to better serve today’s small business community through new products and innovative technologies.
Then Sean Banks, Partner at TTV Capital, Kevin Lambrix, Chief Credit & Operations Officer at EVO Payments and Sid Singh, President of OpenEdge will take the stage in a conversation on M&A Insights From Buyers and Sellers, moderated by Stephen Gerson of Wells Fargo Securities. Next, a group of seasoned payments professionals will discuss Monetizing Security – panelists will include John Bianchini, VP of Product Marketing at Bluefin Payment Systems, Kevin Jones, President and CEO of Anovia Payments, Tom McAndrew, COO of Coalfire and John Priore, President & CEO at Priority Payment Systems, with Joan Herbig of ControlScan in the moderator’s chair.
Last but not least, the industry’s top acquirers will participate in a CEO Roundtable. We will hear from Angela Brown, President and CEO of Moneris Solutions, Simon Haslam, President and CEO of Elavon, Mike Passilla, CEO, Merchant Services at JPMorgan Chase and Debra Rossi, Executive Vice President at Wells Fargo on opportunities and challenges across the payments landscape.
