ETA Announces Operation Choke Point Boot Camp at TRANSACT 14: Powered by ETA

New education program counters aggressive law enforcement actions against payments industry

March 13, 2014 – ETA announced today the addition of the Operation Choke Point Boot Camp at TRANSACT 14, the world’s premier payments technology event. In light of increased targeting of payments companies by state and federal law enforcement agencies, ETA’s new educational program includes comprehensive risk and fraud guidelines for ISOs, agents, processors, and financial institutions. Boot Camp attendees will receive the new ETA Guidelines on Merchant and ISO Underwriting and Risk Monitoring. TRANSACT 14 takes place April 8 – 10, 2014 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and registration is open now at www.transact14.com.

ETA’s new educational sessions equip ISOs, agents, processors and financial institutions against targeting by federal law enforcement and include dedicated educational sessions from the experts — including an opportunity to hear directly from federal law enforcement officials. The Boot Camp is free to TRANSACT attendees and provides updates on compliance in the new enforcement environment, an overview of the vital new ETA Merchant & ISO Guidelines, and an opportunity to hear from the new face of government enforcement. Invited law enforcement agencies include: FTC, DOJ, CFPB, FDIC, OCC and NYDFR.

With a newly expanded education and conference schedule, speakers from the world’s top payments and technology companies, a sold-out exhibit floor, and 4,000 attendees from 1,000 companies representing 24 countries, TRANSACT 14 is the world’s gathering place to make connections with the biggest players in payments. TRANSACT 14 includes an expanded selection of educational opportunities with 8 conference tracks, increased trade show floor hours, and unlimited industry networking opportunities. TRANSACT 14 will offer three full days of programming, culminating in the biggest networking party in payments, the TRANSACT Party at the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. These enhancements have been designed to showcase technical innovations in payments, provide ramp-up training for those new to payments, and provide a stage for networking and partnerships.
