ETA Announces 2019 Member Committee and Council Leadership

January 17, 2018 – WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) today announced the chairs and vice-chairs for its 2019 member-led committees and councils. ETA’s committees enable members to participate directly in high-level discussions that have major impacts on the future of the payments industry.

“ETA committees are a critical platform for advancing industry priorities, keeping our stakeholders informed and engaged on our top priorities, and bringing together subject matter expects and executive decision makers,” said Amy Zirkle, Vice President of Industry Affairs, ETA. “Our membership is well represented within our committee leadership, which includes executives representing technology companies, major acquirers, sales channel innovators, FinTechs and payment facilitators. I look forward to working with the leadership to drive forward payments innovation in 2019.”

“Volunteer leaders and advocates from across the breadth of our membership are ETA’s most important advocacy tool in the halls of government,” said Scott Talbott, ETA Senior Vice President of Government Relations. “I look forward to working with them to advocate for policy that supports payments growth and innovation.”

In 2019, the committees will focus on key areas of growth in the industry like payment facilitators, independent software vendors and fraud detection and prevention. A full list of committee and council members can be found here.
